This is the first time I bought a glucose meter, so I dont have anything else to compare this against. I bought this also because the test strips were more affordable than some of the other units I saw at Wal greens. I bought this and

Not What was Advertized

This is advertized as a kit, which contains a meter as well as other materials needed to get started. It is not. What arrived was just the meter and a handy carrying pouch which can hold all the things you will need: strips, lancet and replacement lancets. Instead of checking my blood sugar, I am back on line ordering more paraphernalia.

I was sorely disappointed on receiving the package which does not include the 50 count test strip box or the 102 lancelets as given in the product description. It was totally misleading. Secondly, it is nowhere mentioned that you also need the control solution in order to start using the whole thing. I was planning to give it to my parents who are leaving the country shortly. Now I don’t have sufficient time to purchase the other items. Besides, I am not sure if I want to spend at least another $50 to make the kit useable. A total waste of money for me.

Hurts A LOT!

My insurance company made me change to this meter. Using the multclix lancet I was not able to get a large enough blood sample with 1 click. So I wasted a number a test strips. I had to lance myself 2 or 3 times to get a large enough sample for the meter. This was at setting 6. Even worse, the lancet would not withdraw after sticking me and would stay stuck in my skin. Yeah it hurt. I tried using the multclix for a few weeks and gave up. I threw it away. I went back to using my old lancing device. I have to use a higher setting than I did using the freestyle test strips, but I am able to get a sufficient sample for the meter. I do not recommend this product.

Because I have to use

I have not got a wide range of experience with these to judge them. It was cheaper and we went with it. Shortly before my back surgery after four months bed-ridden in terrific pain with the loss of walking, I developed high blood sugar. The net result of years unable to really walk and move with multiple back issues. Weight gain, craving carbs. It was a shock. Now I’m adjusted to using this and find it pretty easy altho the drug store charged me over a hundred for test strips much cheaper here.

Great glucose meter at an excellent price.3

I bought this meter as backup to my first Aviva. i use this one for travel and keep it in my insulin kit so I always have a BG meter with me. I was totally pleased with my first AccuChek Aviva, and am likewise pleased with this new one.

I’ve purchased two of these at different times. The first one worked but the on button stuck and I couldn’t figure out how to get it unstuck. The second one has worked okay and it’s been easy to use.

Big waste of money!!

I should have read the reviews before ordering this item. In the kit there was a place for the strips but NONE were included. Why would anyone buy an incomplete kit of anything??? In my opinion if it says a kit that is what you should receive a complete kit. What a waste of money!!!

Really Nice Meter

Had an older Accu Chek Aviva. Decided it was time for a new one and I love it. I have to purchase this brand out of pocket, as Liberty Medical will no longer carry it. Accurate Chek is the best as far as I am concerned.
