My main aim through out this book is to ensure that your journey unto type 1 diabetes is as smooth a ride as possible, I’m going to achieve this by imparting my knowledge of being a type 1 diabetic myself for 14 years (and counting) unto you.

Upon being diagnosed I had felt scared and worried about what I was going to do, also I felt apprehensive as to how I’d cope with my new condition, despite the advice given to me by doctors and family.

At the time things seemed bleak, in the respect that I felt that I didn’t have someone to reach out to that was also living with diabetes, because of these feelings I went into denial for a number of years.
I found that I sacrificed taking care of of my diabetes, Instead I ignored it and made myself ill.

Luckily, I turned a corner, and I became as one with my diabetes,I’m now a much happier person.

If you’re new to type 1 diabetes, I can assure you that once you’ve read my book you’ll have a much greater insight on how to deal with diabetes on a daily basis; and into the future.
