It works but spent a lot of time on it installing the driver I bought this cable for use with my One Touch Ultra 2. I figured how hard could it be? Apparently it won’t work unless a driver is installed. Was having trouble installing the driver on an XP machine until I tried the windows driver and finally got it to work. My Vista PC gave me more trouble. I tried the Prolific device installer and it never showed up in my COM ports. Even the windows driver couldn’t be found or installed. I even tried it on another XP machine and the driver I used on the other machine wouldn’t find it? I tried this for HOURS but I tried one last thing on my Vista PC and now it works for anyone that has trouble. In the device manager it shows the cable under other devices as a USB serial port. Instead of browsing for the driver on the CD I right clicked properties then update driver and told Vista to search for the driver and what do you know it found one and now the One Touch software works. I think it said the driver was FITD or something? I don’t even know what that means. So the cable does work once you find the right driver. When it installs correctly it should show up under the COM ports in the device manager. Mine shows (COM4). I have never bought one of these cables before or setup drivers but I finally got it to work and now I don’t have to mess with it. Every machine is a little different.

Product Dissapointment Cable does not work with the OneTouch UltraMini Meter. I tried for hours & it wouldn’t make a connection. I finally called the manufacturer of the meter, LifeFirst, and they said it is the wrong cable so be careful people. I don’t know if it works with the other meters in the description but The cable you need if you have the OneTouch Ultra Mini Meter product number is (AW3075600B).

If you’re a diabetic, buy this cable, it’s used to download the blood sugar (glucose) test reading from your OneTouch glucose test meter to your computer. I have the OneTouch Ultra 2 Test Meter, and all I had to do then was download the free OneTouch software from their web-page online, and then I connected my test meter using this USB download cable, the cable then allowed my OneTouch Test Meter to transfer all of my test readings onto the software programs spread sheet, to fax, e-mail, or print out a copy to send to my doctor. “Being Very Honest With YOU”, If You’re A Diabetic, You Need To Give Some Thought To This USB Data Download Cable !
